We work with, and train, individuals and organizations, to improve their project management capabilities. With offices in Seattle, WA, and Tucson, AZ, we help local businesses, nonprofits, and government organizations around the country.
Project Based Consulting
We provide project management support on a part-time or full-time basis for specific projects. We can act as your project manager, or we can support your existing project manager. If you are still in the bidding stage on a large project, we can help you put together well-structured project plans as part of your proposal, and/or we can help you manage your project when your bid is successful.
Organizational Project Management Consulting
We work with your organization to improve or establish project management processes. While we will probably assist on specific projects, the main focus will be on the processes required to ensure a continual stream of successful projects. This will sometimes involve setting up a project management office, also known as a PMO, and can also include advice regarding the use/optimization of project management software, such as Microsoft Project.
Project Management Staff Augmentation
We support longer term contracts with experienced staff who work as part of your organization. This might include Microsoft Project experts, PMP-certified project managers, project schedulers, and/or data analysts.
Project Management Training
In depth project management training, based around industry best-practices. Our style of training is very interactive - participants work on projects from their own organizations, utilizing tools and templates that we use every day to manage real projects. We consistently receive excellent ratings from training participants, and have experience conducting project management theory training and Microsoft Project training for both large and small organizations. We offer a variety of courses, which are available on an open-enrollment and on-site basis. (Read more about our approach to project management training.)
Certified Project Managers
Established in 1969, the Project Management Institute (PMI®) is the world’s leading not-for-profit project management professional association, with over 250,000 members worldwide. All Key Consulting’s senior project managers and instructors are certified as Project Management Professionals (PMP) by PMI.
PMI Registered Education Provider
Since 2002 we have been an approved PMI Registered Education Provider (PMI REP) of project management training. This means we are authorized to issue Category Three Professional Development Units (PDUs) for credit toward meeting the Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) of the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification. While PMPs may earn PDU credits from other categories of learning activities, only Category Three PDUs are accepted without question in audits of CCR records. PMPs may also report a Key Consulting course using PMI's convenient online system, rather than having to provide fax or paper documentation.
